Cross Country Places Fifth At Notre Dame Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Ball State women's cross country team placed fifth at the Notre Dame Invitational.
The Cardinals were led by Ali Bishel who recorded an eighth place finish clocking in at 18:04. Vanessa Gilbert finished 19th with a time of 18:26.
The women's gold division had 27 teams and a total of 214 participants. Laura Rolf of Valparaiso won the meet finishing in 17:04. Grand Valley State took first place with 126 points, Ball State finished with 177.
Ball State had Sarah Kehe (49th, 18:49) Kelsey Nielsen (50th, 18:49), Brittany Ade (51st, 18:51) and Lisa Arrowsmith (55th, 18:55) contribute to the fifth place finish.
Ball State will return to action Oct. 6, to compete in the Huntington Invitational.
