Cardinals Finish Second At The Indiana Intercollegiates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Ball State women's cross country team placed second at the Indiana Intercollegiates. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Ali Bishel. Bishel finished second overall with a time of 17:44.
Purdue won the meet with 49 points, Ball State followed with 74 and Indiana placed third with 120 points. Purdue's Katie Morrical won the meet finishing in 17:39. In the previous three years Ball State had placed fifth and third twice.
Vanessa Gilbert (7th, 18:15) and Kelsey Nielsen (13th, 18:32) both improved their times from last week as they helped the Cardinals finish second.
Lisa Arrowsmith (23rd, 18:51), Sarah Kehe (29th, 18:57) and Brittany Ade (39th, 19:11) rounded out the top-40 of a race that included 162 participants.
Ball State will return to action Friday Sept. 28th to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
