Bishel Ends Season At NCAA Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Sophomore Ali Bishel finished her outstanding sophomore season by placing 52nd out of 253 participants at the NCAA Championships.
Bishel was the first Mid-American Conference runner to finish the race by completing the 6k championship course in 21:12.
During the 2007 season Bishel's accomplishments include being named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country All-Region Team, First Team All-MAC selection, Academic All-MAC selection, and MAC Runner of the Week (Oct. 17).
Bishel was just six seconds away from being named an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Sally Kipyego of Texas Tech was the overall winner of the race and took home her second-straight NCAA title with a time of 19:30, a new course record.
Stanford took the team title for the third-consecutive year and for the fourth time in the last five years.
