Cardinals Place Ninth At Great Lakes Regionals

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Ball State women's cross county team placed ninth overall at the 2007 NCAA Great Lakes Regionals.
Ali Bishel led the way for the Cardinals with a seventh place finish clocking in at 21:00.
Michigan State won the overall meet with a team score of 60 points, while Michigan finished second with 63 points.
Ball State finished with 285 points earning ninth place beating out Ohio, the Mid-American Conference Champions, who placed 10th with 286 points.
Michigan's Nicole Edwards won the individual title with a time of 20:30.
Vanessa Gilbert was second for BSU and 45th overall finishing in 22:14. Other Cardinals contributing to the ninth place finish were Sarah Kehe (71st, 22:51), Kelsey Nielsen (73rd 22:52) and Lisa Arrowsmith (89th, 23:05).
