For his part in helping guide the Ball State baseball team to a series win at Northern Illinois, senior pitcher Jacon Hartlaub has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Hartlaub struck out six in seven innings of two-run ball last Saturday to lead Ball State to an 8-3 win over Northern Illinois. The senior right-handed pitcher limited the damage by stranding baserunners in five innings before pitching a perfect seventh.
Hartlaub improved his record to 5-2 with 52 strikeouts and a 2.98 ERA in nine starts with the performance.
