For her play in guiding the Ball State women’s basketball team to the Sun Coast Challenge title and a win over Oakland City, junior Ally Becki has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Over the Cardinals’ three games during winter break, Becki averaged 12.3 points per game, while leading the squad with 20 assists and tying for team-high honors with nine steals.
Her biggest moment came in the Dec. 21 win over Georgia, when she rattled in a last-second shot to give BSU the 52-51 victory over the SEC powerhouse. Not only did she make the winning basket, but she also corralled a crucial rebound off a missed free throw with 15 seconds remaining to set up her winning shot.
