Amanda McIlvaine joined Ball State's athletic training staff in August of 2023. She currently works with the women’s volleyball program, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. She previously worked with the Cardinals' men’s basketball team.

Prior to her arrival in Muncie, she spent a year at Louisiana Tech working with men’s basketball, track and field, and women’s soccer. McIlvaine’s internship was spent at Penn State while working with men’s and women’s swimming and diving. She received her master's degree from the Nebraska-Lincoln in 2021 and earned her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State in 2019.
