Delaney Howson joined the Ball State women's golf program as a graduate assistant in August 2014.
The Newmarket, Ontario, native came on board after a four-year playing career at Murray State University, where she was one of the most decorated golfers in Ohio Valley Conference history.
Howson was a four-time All-OVC selection and the league's player of the year as a senior in 2013-14. She set a conference record in that senior campaign by winning the OVC Championships by 13 shots.
The win marked her school-record seventh career tournament title as she led Murray State to the team championship and a berth in the NCAA East Regional.
A three-time Capital One Academic All-District selection, Howson capped her college career by earning Academic All-America honors as a senior. She finished her final season with a 73.3 stroke average.
Howson graduated from Murray State in May 2014 with a bachelor's degree in finance. She maintained a 4.0 GPA for her undergraduate career.
