Ryan is the son of Dani Louis and Sam Roberts. Ryan has three siblings, sisters Kinley, Taylor, and Desirae. He is majoring in business analytics.

Favorite Volleyball memory: Having the best finish in my high school’s program history by making it to the state semi-finals match
Favorite trip you’ve been on/what is one place you dream of visiting: Traveling to Colorado to see and train in the U.S. Olympic Training Center

Dream job: Pro Volleyball Player
Plans after college: Continue to play volleyball overseas, then get a job in business analytics and hopefully start a family one day
What sport would you be playing if you were not playing volleyball: Baseball
2026: Appeared in 104 sets through 31 matches played, including 30 starts … captured a career-high 25 kills in a win versus Missouri S&T (Jan. 9) … totaled double-digit kills on 16 occasions … led the Cardinals in attacking nine times … his average of 3.25 kills per set ranked fifth in the MIVA and 43rd in the NCAA … served as the leading blocker for Ball State, totaling 87.0 … his average of 0.84 blocks per set ranked sixth in the MIVA … recorded a career-best seven blocks versus NJIT (Jan. 10) … tallied five or more blocks on six occasions … had a career-high four service aces versus Lewis (April 9) … matched a career high in digs with nine on two occasions (vs. Missouri S&T and at Lewis (March 7)) … finished his sophomore campaign with 331 kills on .315 hitting, 35 service aces (0.34 per set), 115 digs (1.11 per set) and 87 blocks … named Second Team All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association … earned Honorable Mention American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American … earned Academic All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association honors.
2025: Started in five-of-22 matches played … averaged 2.16 kills per set, totaling 121 … recorded a single-game high 21 kills at McKendree (Feb. 22) … captured five blocks versus Lees-McRae (Jan. 23), aiding his season total of 34 … averaged 2.66 points per set … combined for 10 service aces … earned Academic All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association honors.
High School/Club: Prior to Ball State, Ryan was recognized as an AVCA High School All-American. Additionally, Ryan earned a spot-on Arizona’s 6A All-State Volleyball team. In club, Ryan also saw great success, being named to the USAV Boys Junior National All-Tournament Team.
