2016-17 (Sr.): Received the team’s Earl Yestingsmeier Student-Athlete Award … competed in three total events and five stroke-play rounds with a stroke average of 80.20 … his best finish for the season was a tie for 47th at the Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Invitational … recorded a season-best round of 73 and his season-best 54-hole total of 227 at that event … competed as part of the BSU lineup at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play.
2015-16 (Jr.): Competed in one tournament, Ball State’s Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Invitational.
2014-15 (So.): Competed in one event – the Dayton Flyer Invitational, where he recorded two rounds of 84.
2013-14 (Fr.): Played in four tournaments with a stroke average of 80.40 ... played in his first college tournament at the Golfweek Conference Challenge (Sept. 15-17) … posted his low round of the season with a 75 in the second round of the Saint Mary's Invitational (Sept. 23-24) ... tied for 31st at the Butler Spring Invitational (March 24) ... also played in the Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Invitational (April 21-22).
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner for his father and head coach Jack Carpenter at Triton High School... competed in the Indiana state finals three times ... finished in the top 25 all three times, including a tie for 14th as a freshman in 2010 ... a four-time All-Northern State Conference selection ... owns the single-round scoring record at Triton with a 5-under par 65.
PERSONAL: Cousin of former Ball State golfer TJ Carpenter, who is now an assistant coach for the Cardinals.
