2020 (So.): The season was shortened to 27 games due to the COVID-19 global pandemic … earned second letter at Ball State … played in 12 games … made 11 appearances as a pinch runner and one as a pinch hitter … scored six runs on the year … recorded her first career RBI in the opening-game win at Bethune-Cookman (March 4) with a pinch hit RBI fielder’s choice … scored runs versus Prairie View A&M (Feb. 8) and Arkansas Pine Bluff (Feb. 9) as a pinch runner opening weekend … also scored runs in back-to-back pinch punning appearances vs. Alabama A&M (Feb. 16) and vs. Indiana State (Feb. 21) … her final two runs came in pinch running appearances vs. LIU (Feb. 29) and vs. Samford (March 8).
2019 (Fr.): Earned first letter at Ball State … Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete ... played in 13 games for the Cardinals, making 12 appearances as a pinch runner and one as a pinch hitter … scored five runs and stole three bases on the year … scored her first collegiate run versus Fordham (March 17) … stole a base and scored a run in both of her pinch running appearances versus Akron, with the first coming in the March 22 series opener and the second coming in the second game of the March 23 doubleheader … also scored runs in the second game of a twinbill at Western Michigan (April 13) and at Purdue Fort Wayne (May 4) … stole her third career base in the second game of a doubleheader at Central Michigan (April 26) … recorded her first collegiate at bat versus Oakland (May 4).
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters in softball at Fisher High School for coach Ken Ingold … program record holder in career home runs (44) and home runs in a single season (15 as a senior) … earned First Team All-State honors as a senior after finishing the year with a .464 batting average, including 15 home runs, eight doubles and four triples … also drove in 59 runs and scored 38 runs as a senior which helped her earn First Team All-Area News Gazette, First Team All-Area Pantagraph, First Team All-Area Rantoul Press, the Rantoul Press MVP Award and the Wcia3 Athlete of the Week honors … team captain as a senior … earned Second Team All-State accolades as a junior after producing a .361 batting average with nine home runs, 12 doubles, 41 runs scored and 31 RBI … helped guide the Bunnies to a regional championship her junior year … hit .382 with 12 home runs, five doubles, a pair of triples and 51 RBI as a sophomore to help guide her squad to its first-ever IHSA Class 1A State Finals appearance … hit the game-winning home run in super sectionals to send Fisher to the state finals … finished her freshman year with a .345 batting average, eight home runs, 11 doubles, three triples and 51 RBI to help Fisher claim a regional title … four-time All-Heart of Illinois Conference selection, including first team honors as a junior and senior … earned the Rantoul Press Golden Glove Award as a sophomore and Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman … finished her career with a .378 batting average, 44 home runs, 35 doubles, nine triples, 183 RBI and 138 runs scored … also earned three letters in volleyball and basketball for Fisher … in volleyball, she was team captain and an all-conference honorable mention selection as a senior … in basketball she was team captain and an all-conference honorable mention selection as a senior … the Rantoul Press Defensive Player of the Year as a senior, she also finished her career ranked in the top 10 in program history for points scored, rebounds, steals, field goals and free throws.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jason and Amy Clanton … born Sept. 27, 1999 in Urbana, Ill. … has three sisters, Shelby, Elyssa and McKenna … full name is Rebecca Jean Clanton … maintains a 3.81 grade point average as an English major.
WHY BALL STATE: I chose Ball State because of the atmosphere, which was very inviting when I toured. I felt I would be challenged academically and there was a good chemistry amongst everyone.
