2023: Played 74 sets for the Cardinals…had 16 service aces…recorded 154 kills and 93 digs ... turned in a season high performance in kills with 18 against McKendree and a double-double with 10 digs (2/11/23) ... served up a season best four aces versus Ohio State (3/18/23) ... registered six double-digit kill performances throughout the season ... had five block assists against Purdue Fort Wayne (2/18/23).
2022: Played in 32 sets for the Cardinals … totaled 64 kills … averaged 2.0 kills per set … served up eight aces … had 27 digs and 15 blocks … helped the Cardinals to a win over national ranked BYU (2/5/22) after collecting a career best 17 kills … registered double digit kill performance with 11 against BYU (2/4/22) and 12 versus Purdue Fort Wayne (2/17/22) … added a personal high seven digs against the Cougars and the Mastodons and had a season best four blocks against PFW … helped the Cardinals win the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) regular season and tournament titles along with an automatic bye to the 2022 NCAA semifinal round.

HIGH SCHOOL: The Ball name should be familiar to both Ball State men's volleyball fans and fans of the sport in general. Ball's grandfather, Arnie Ball, played for the Cardinals from 1966-67 and was an All-MIVA performer both years. He went on to coach at Purdue Fort Wayne and was inducted into the MIVA Hall of Fame in 2018. His father, Lloy Ball, played at Purdue Fort Wayne where he has been described as the most decorated athlete in school history after being a four-time NCAA All-American and four-time U.S. Olympian. Dyer comes to BSU as a 6'6" lefty who will play on the right side. Ball has spent most of his high school career at Angola High School playing football and basketball, but will transition to volleyball and play for the Cardinals. Ball was named First Team All-Northeast Corner Conference as a junior and has amassed 17 touchdowns playing football and 483 points playing basketball. Started playing volleyball at age 16.
