2019-20 (Junior): Played in 17 matches … finished the season with a 6-2 record in dual action … played mainly at the No. 6 position … posted a 4-1 mark on court six and a 2-1 ledger at the No. 5 spot …. wrapped up spring play with three straight victories over Cleveland State (2/13/20), Valparaiso (2/21/20) and IU Southeast (3/1/20) … competed at the No. 3 doubles slot with teammate Eli Herran … the twosome opened up spring action with wins over Big Ten foe Michigan State (1/25/20), Niagara (1/25/20) and Wright State (2/1/20) … Bonin and Herran closed out spring play with a 6-0 victory at UC San Diego (3/8/20) … the duo finished the season prior to the COVID-19 pandemic with an overall record of 5-2.
2018-19 (Sophomore): Earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors . . . competed in 28 singles matches for the Cardinals . . . started fall play off strong winning five-straight matches . . . posted first dual win of the season with a three-set thriller over Xavier’s Michael Lee at position six . . . registered non-conference victories over Xavier, Wright State, Pepperdine, IU Southeast, Taylor and Eastern Illinois . . . saw limited playing time in doubles play.
2017-18 (Freshman): Played in 30 matches . . . posted the best overall mark for the Cardinals with at 21-9 record . . . registered a team high 15-6 dual action ledger . . . went 5-2 in league play . . . competed primarily at the No. 6 singles position . . . opened 2017 fall play with three straight wins . . . opened spring action with victories over Eastern Illinois (1/19/18) and Belmont (1/21/18) both in straight sets . . . went on a six match win streak from March 8 to April 4 . . . earned first Mid-American Conference defeat against Alejandro Pena of Binghamton, 6-4,6-0 (3/8/18) . . . closed league action with a three set thriller (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) against Buffalo’s Vidit Vaghela (4/22/18) . . . competed in nine doubles matches . . . helped the Cardinals to their 34th appearance in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters at Crown Point High School playing at the No. 1 singles position . . . named most valuable player all four years . . . tabbed Duneland Athletic Conference most valuable player all four years . . . earned First Team All State for two years and was an Indiana All-Star as a senior . . . helped the Bulldogs win sectionals his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons along with a regional championship for the first time in 43 years . . . owns a career record of 72-6 while finishing his senior year 8-0 in conference action.
