Personal: Aguirre is the daughter of former DePaul all-American and two-time National Basketball Association champion Mark Aguirre.
Prior To Ball State: Aguirre, a 5-10 guard, transferred to Ball State from Abilene Christian. She attended Justin Wakeland High School where she earned First Team All-Region in 2013 and 2014. Aguirre was District 9-4A Newcomer of the Year (2011), Offensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014) and First Team All-District (2013). She was a McDonald's All-American nominee and was a top-25 recruit in the state of Texas. For her career, Aguirre averaged 15 points, 9.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. This includes a single-game career high of 33 points and a triple-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
Academically, Aguirre earned first team all-academic all four years at Justin Wakeland High School and was honored by state legislature of Texas for her outstanding athletic achievement.
