MUNCIE, Ind. – After helping the Ball State men's volleyball program clinch its fourth Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular season championship in five years, senior outside hitter Patrick Rogers has been selected as the MIVA Offensive Player of the Week. Rogers earns the honor for a fifth time in his career and third time in 2026.
The 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association National Collegiate Men's Player of the Year semifinalist totaled 37 kills on an average hitting percentage of .324 between the Cardinals' contest versus No. 16 Lewis (April 9) and the champion-deciding match versus No. 9 Loyola Chicago (April 11). Against the Flyers, Rogers struck down 21 kills while hitting .227. He followed that performance with 16 kills on 24 attempts along with one service ace in a sweep over the Ramblers to solidify Ball State's top position in the league standings heading into the conference tournament (April 18-25).
Ball State opens the 2026 postseason Saturday as it hosts Northern Kentucky for the quarterfinal round of the MIVA Tournament, with first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Streaming will be available on ESPN+ and tickets are available here.
