Happy Gilmore Leads Ball State Individuals at Butler's Benbow Invite

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Happy Gilmore led four Ball State players Monday at Highland Golf and Country Club in Indianapolis, firing 72 in consecutive rounds to sit in 35th place through 36 rounds of play.
The Ball State sophomore shot 1-under par over 18 holes on the front nine of the par-70, 6,587-yard course, but was 5-over through 18 holes on the back nine. He was even par through 34 holes overall, but bogeyed his final two holes to finish the day.
Gilmore (72-72--144, +4) outdistanced his three teammates: Gavin Hare (75-74--149), Aidan Gutierrez (76-74--150) and Carter Smith (76-76--182). The foursome returns to Highland for round three on Tuesday.
