Tracksters Visit CMU This Weekend to Compete at Site of MAC Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Planning ahead for the upcoming Mid-American Conference Indoor Track Championships in only three weeks, the Ball State track team ventures to Mount Pleasant, Michigan, this week to take part in the CMU Chippewa Invite, at Central Michigan's Indoor Athletic Complex. Seventeen athletes will compete over 11 events on Saturday afternoon, in a one-day meet scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

While Ball State's three multi-event participants all competed last week, the multi competitors take a week off from competition on Saturday while high jump and long jump competitors take center stage for the Cardinals. Senior Bella Jackson, junior Malina Miller, sophomore Lexi Hale and freshman Nina Garner will try for their best height in the high jump. For Garner, it is her first college event. In the long jump, sophomore Kylee Marshall and senior Lindley Steele lead Ball State's hopes for a top prize.
