
Track and Field Prepared to Compete at Home for We Fly Challenge

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State track and field will host the 2025 We Fly Challenge this weekend at the Briner Sports Complex in Muncie, Indiana.Â
Meet Information:
Action will start on Friday (Apr. 11) at 10 a.m. in the field with the men's hammer throw. Track events will not begin until Saturday (Apr. 12), when the men's 5,000-meter race gets things started at 10 a.m. as well.Â
The Cardinals will feature senior recognition on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. There will also be a 60 and 100-meter Fastest Kid in Muncie races for young fans to participate in. The 60-meter race will start at 3:30 p.m., followed by the 100-meter race at 3:35 p.m. Registration for these races will be on site.Â

Last Time Out:Â
Last weekend, Ball State track and field competed at Ohio University's Cherry Blossom Invitational. There were multiple top finishes for all of the Cardinals' groups. The jumpers had a particularly strong performance, getting two first place finishes with Lexi Hale's 1.65-meter-high jump and Emma Upp's 10.75-meter triple jump.Â
On the track, the 4x100-meter relay team with Moriah Johnson, Alana Springer, Jenna Oriani and Kylee Marshall also secured a first-place finish after crossing the finish line with a time of 46.27 seconds.Â
Oriani would then go on to win the 400-meter race, running in 54.77 seconds.Â
Rounding out the Cardinals' first-place victories for the day was Emma Potter, who ran 25.24 in the 200-meter dash.Â
Up Next:Â
Following the Cardinals' home meet, they will prepare to head back to Terre Haute for Indiana State's Gibson Invitational. Events will start Thursday, Apr. 17 and are scheduled to go through Saturday, Apr. 19.Â
