*This story has been changed to reflect an updated schedule. Games were originally set for 4 p.m. on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Ball State baseball team concludes its five-game Florida Spring Break trip with a doubleheader at Florida A&M starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
There will be no broadcast, but live stats are available at the link above and on the schedule page.
This will be a rematch from last year when Ball State beat FAMU 10-2 and 6-4 in a doubleheader March 6 in Tallahassee.
Ball State (6-5) took the series at North Florida in Jacksonville over the weekend with a 5-1 triumph on Friday and a 6-2 win on Saturday over the Ospreys. Keegan Johnson and Owen Quinn combined to strike out 11 batters and allow only three hits on Friday before Jacob Hartlaub (6.0 innings, one run, five strikeouts) and Korbin Griffin (pinch hit go-ahead three-run home run in the seventh inning) teamed up on Saturday to help the Cardinals clinch the set.
Florida A&M (4-7) won its last two games, both on Saturday against High Point Academy (5-3) and Mercer (5-2). The Rattlers are in their 12th season under the direction of head coach Jamey Shouppe and were projected to finish fifth in the 12-team Southwestern Athletic Conference preseason poll.
Freshman infielder Jay Campbell paces the Rattler with a .303 batting average, 10 hits and three steals, while sophomore Josue Figueroa has tallied three home runs and eight RBI as FAMU's power bat to this point in the season.
Ball State will next begin Mid-American Conference play with a three-game series against Western Michigan starting at 2 p.m. on Friday at the newly named Shebek Stadium in Muncie.
