Pearson Jr. Named Academic All-District by the CSC

Mickey Pearson Jr., has been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.

In order to qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 and compete in 90 percent of the team's contests or start in 66 percent of the games.

Pearson Jr., graduated in May 2024 with a degree in sociology and earned a 4.0 GPA in his first semester as a master's student in athletic coaching education. The forward was a two-time Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week this year.

Pearson Jr., also received the Academic All-District honor following the 2023-24 season. He played in all 31 games in 2024-25, making 26 starts while averaging 12.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 29.3 minutes per game. Pearson Jr., recorded his 1,000^th career point and 500^th rebound at Ball State in a Feb. 8 win over Southern Miss.
