Cardinals Celebrate Start of IHSAA Boys Volleyball During BLACKOUT vs. Ohio State
February 21, 2025 | Men's Volleyball
MUNCIE, Ind. – In celebration of the first official season of boys volleyball recognized by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA), the No. 8-ranked Ball State men's volleyball team invites all Indiana high school volleyball players (boys and girls) to its match against No. 15 Ohio State on Thursday, Feb. 27 (7:00 p.m.).Â
The Cardinals are offering free tickets to all high school volleyball players for their match against the Buckeyes. Tickets must be obtained in person at the Worthen Arena box office with proof of attendance to their local high school. In an effort to BLACK OUT the Buckeyes, fans are encouraged to wear black during the matchup of nationally ranked conference rivals. Â
Â
After passing the vote to add boys volleyball in 2022, the sport was approved for full recognition at the start of 2024-25 academic year, adding more than 100 teams within the state of Indiana. IHSAA boys volleyball play begins next month.Â
