It's GAMEDAY:
Thursday's game will mark the 15th meeting all-time between Ball State and Cincinnati with the Bearcats holding an all-time series record of 9-5. Ball State's last meeting against Cincinnati was in 2019 on Nov. 16 resulting in a 68-56 loss for the Cardinals. The last game in Worthen Arena was on Nov. 28, 2018 with the Cardinals winning that contest, 75-63.
Road Warriors:
Under head coach Brady Sallee the Cardinals have played well on the road for the last 14 years under his watch. The Cardinals are 113-74 (.600) from 2012 until present on the road. Ball State's best season playing away from home was in 2020-21 when the Cardinals posted an 11-2 mark. Ball State is 3-0 this season on the road with defeats at Arkansas State, IU Indy and Memphis.
4-0 For the Third-Straight Season:
The Ball State women's basketball team has started the season with a 4-0 record for the second-straight season and fourth-ever under Brady Sallee. The Cardinals have only went 4-0 five times in program history; 1999-2000 (Brenda Oldfield) 2005-06 (Tracy Roller), 2017-18 (Brady Sallee), 2023-24 (Brady Sallee), 2024-25 (Brady Sallee) and 2025-26 (Brady Sallee).
Scouting Cincinnati:
- Cincinnati picked up its first win of the season on Sunday, rolling to a 100-61 win over Georgetown College. It marked Cincinnati's first 100-point performance since 2003.
- Freshman point guard Caliyah DeVillasee was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week on Monday. She became the first Bearcat to win the league's weekly rookie honor.
- Junior guard Reagan Jackson is averaging 14.0 points per game while shooting 48% from the field and 53% from deep. She ranks second in the Big 12 in three-point percentage and fifth in free throws made (20).
- Freshman forward Kylie Torrence is the fourth Bearcat averaging double figures this season at 11.5 points per game. She leads the team in rebounding (7.3) and is tied for the team lead in blocks (5). She narrowly missed a double-double last time out, finishing with 12 points and nine boards vs. Georgetown College.
- As a team, the Bearcats lead the Big 12 and rank fourth nationally in three-point shooting at 45.3%. They also sit second in the league in offensive rebounding at 18 per game.
- Cincinnati has been hit by injuries to start the season, with at least three players unavailable in each game. Perry and Jackson are each averaging 34 minutes per contest.
In the NATION:
The Cardinals first in the nation in the defensive rebound category (36.8) and third in rebounds per game (51.25). Ball State is only one of 68 teams that remain undefeated so far this season.

The Cardinals remain at home to kick-off the upcoming holiday with a "Hoops Giving" game on Monday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 pm ET against the University of Illinois Chicago Flames. These two teams haven't met since the 2000-01 season when the Cardinals defeated the Flames in Chicago by a score of 93-58.
Home Sweet Home:
John E. Worthen has been good to Brady Sallee and the Cardinals. Sallee has guided Ball State women's basketball to a 135-57 (.702) record in the last 14 seasons at home with its best showing being in 2022-23 with a 15-1 ledger.
