Field Hockey Set to Play at Ohio Friday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team (3-10, 1-3 MAC) will look to get back on the winning track when it travels this weekend to Ohio University (3-9, 1-3 MAC) for a noon start at Pruitt Field.

Ball State has won its last three contests over Ohio. The Bobcats own a 25-9 record over the Cardinals since their first meeting in Muncie on Sept. 23, 2005, resulting in a 5-1 loss for BSU.

Last season, the Cardinals faced a one-goal deficit for 45 minutes of the 60-minute contest against the Bobcats but made a furious comeback and snatched a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory from Ohio University in Muncie on Oct. 25, 2024.

In fact, the Cardinals last three victories over the Bobcats have been a 2-1 overtime decision. Ball State's last loss to Ohio came on Sept. 24, 2021, with the Cardinals falling to the Bobcats by a score of 3-0 in Athens.

After Friday, Ball State will play a Tuesday non-conference contest at Big Ten foe Michigan State at 1 pm ET in East Lansing.
