
Cards Ready to Compete at Bellarmine Classic

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The track and field team prepares for a full day in Louisville on Friday (Jan. 23) at the Bellarmine Classic. Â

Ball State is coming off a positive performance at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic (Jan. 18) in Indianapolis. There were eight personal bests among the Cardinals across all events. Â
Among Ball State's stand-out performances from the weekend was Jenelle Rogers's third-place finish in the long jump at a mark of 5.88 meters. Also having a strong jump was Mckenna Cinotte in the triple, hitting a mark of 11.79 meters and finishing third. Â
The distance team had a successful weekend with two top finishes in the mile. Carly Spletzer led the Cardinals, finishing third with a new personal best time of 5:01.05. Close behind was Sarah Mahnensmith who finished fourth with a time of 5:01.34. Â
In the 400-meter dash, Jenna Oriani continued her successful streak with a second-place finish. She crossed the finish line with a time of 56.06. Â
