
Eleven Cardinals Named to Baseball Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Eleven Ball State baseball players were named to the Mid-American Conference's 2024 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team on Friday, among a total of 119 student-athletes recognized for their outstanding achievements in both athletics and academics.

The Cardinals, who reached the MAC Championship Game two weeks ago against Western Michigan, placed 12 on last year's Academic All-MAC Team while defeating Kent State to win the MAC Tournament. This marks the third straight year that Ball State has reached the MAC Championship Game and placed at least 11 players on the Academic All-MAC Team.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
