Cardinals Conduct Pro Day for 10 Football Players Ahead of NFL Draft

A day after the NFL Combine concluded in Indianapolis, and ahead of the NFL Draft in late April, Ball State conducted its annual pro day on Monday afternoon at the Scheumann Family Indoor Practice Facility, to showcase Ball State athletes in front of pro scouts.
Scheduled out of convenience for scouts for NFL teams who were already in the state for last weekend's Combine event, ten former Ball State players worked out for a group of roughly 15 scouts who measured the Cardinals in the vertical jump and broad jump, the 40-yard dash, bench press, various shuttle and cone drills, and position-specific workouts intended to help evaluate a player's value in advance of the upcoming draft and free agency.
Participation in Monday's pro day was heavy on the defensive side of the ball which featured eight athletes. Offensive players included only QB Layne Hatcher and WR Ahmad Edwards. Defensive players included DE Mikhari Sibblis, DB Aljareek Malry, DE/LB Sidney Houston Jr., NT James Makszin, CB Damion Charity, LB Clayton Coll, DB Loren Strickland and CB Red Potts.
The 89th annual NFL Draft is scheduled for April 27-29 in Detroit.
