Veteran defensive lineman joins an already experienced Ball State defensive line.
BEFORE BALL STATE: Played 38 career games over five at Rhode Island under coach Jim Fleming, with 105 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. 2022: Voted a team captain by his teammates, and started all 11 games ... finished the season with 37 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery ... had four tackles and one sack against Maine (Nov. 5) ... had three tackles including one tackle for loss against Elon (Oct. 15) ... made six tackles and had a QB hurry against Brown (Oct. 1) ... had three tackles, including one sack, plus a forced fumble at Bryant (9/10) ... made four tackles and had one quarterback hurry at Stony Brook (9/1). 2021: Appeared in 10 games, making nine starts ... finished the season with 28 tackles, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry ... had six tackles including a TFL at Elon (Nov. 20) ... made two stops with a half-sack against New Hampshire (Nov. 13) ... had five tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss against No. 10/9 Delaware (Oct. 9) ... made three tackles -- including a stop for no gain on fourth-and-1 from the 2-yard line in overtime on the final play of the game against Stony Brook (Oct. 2) ... had one tackle, one forced fumble and one tackle for a loss at Brown (Sept. 18). 2020-21: Had 10 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss over three games in a pandemic-shortened season. 2019: Started the first four games at defensive tackle before suffering a season-ending injury ... earned a redshirt and finished the season with seven tackles. 2018: Played in all 11 games, starting seven at defensive tackle ... finished the season with 25 tackles including three sacks ... had an interception, one pass break-up and a forced fumble ... made college debut at Delaware (Aug. 30) ... named to CAA Football Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Originally headed to Temple out of Norwalk High School, he spent a prep season at St. Thomas More in 2017 ... had 46 tackles, five sacks and 12 QB hurries during his senior season at Norwalk ... earned all-state honors as a senior and all-conference honors in each of his last three seasons.
PERSONAL: Plans to pursue an MBA at Ball State ... favorite movie is "Scarface," and favorite TV show is "The Office."
