Cardinals Squaring off with 2024 NCAA Tournament Participant Florida A&M
*Schedule Update: Tuesday's game got postponed to Wednesday, when there will be a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
The Ball State baseball team continues its spring break roadswing in the Sunshine State with 4 p.m. games at Florida A&M on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Cardinals and Rattlers are scheduled to square off in consecutive midweeks games at Moore-Kittles Field in Tallahassee. A link to live stats can be found above and on the schedule page.
The Cardinals (7-4) endured multiple weather delays over the weekend in Jacksonville to claim the series win over the Dolphins. Ball State triumphed 9-2 in the first game Saturday before sustaining a 10-9 edge from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon after the weather delayed the second game in the bottom of the 8th inning.
FAMU (5-6) most recently split a twinbill against Grambling State on Saturday at the HBCU Classic in Atlanta. The Rattlers won the SWAC Tournament last year in head coach Jamey Shouppe's 10th leading the program.
Ball State got a big performance from junior third baseman Michael Hallquist in the series win over the Dolphins, as the transfer hit .400 (6-for-15) across the three games with two home runs, one double, seven RBI and three runs scored.
