MUNCIE, Ind. -- Men's volleyball head coach Donan Cruz announced the team's 2025 schedule Thursday morning. Made-up of 29 matches, the upcoming season will feature 16 home games in Worthen Arena.
"The 2025 season should be a fun one!" said Cruz. "Our team has a strong work ethic and plays for one another. The nucleus of this group has been with our staff since 2021 and have served to be great stewards of the program. I am excited for the talent on our roster and the level of volleyball in our league. It's a great time to be a fan of the game!"
Ball State will open the season with two home games, starting with a matchup against Wabash College on Friday, Jan. 3 at 7:00 p.m. Following, the team will host Trine University on Sunday, Jan. 5, before heading out on the road.
The team's first road series will take them to California where they will face off against Stanford University on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.
At home, the Cardinals' schedule features some strong opponents, such as BYU on Jan. 16 and Jan. 17.
Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) play will open on Feb. 6 when the Cardinals host Purdue Fort Wayne in Muncie. They will conclude the regular season in a MIVA matchup on the road against Loyola Chicago (Apr. 12).
The MIVA tournament will open with quarterfinals on Apr. 19 on the number one seed's home court.
Ball State is hoping to build off last year's momentum after finishing as the regular season MIVA Champions and making a strong run in the MIVA Tournament.
