van Hal & Johnston Earn Postseason All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State field hockey junior Emma van Hal along with graduate senior Hannah Johnston have earned All-Mid-American Conference First and Second Team honors, respectively. The announcement was made by the league office today.

van Hal and Johnston have both started and played every game this season. van Hal leads the Cardinals offensively with nine goals, 41 shots, 26 shots on goal and 22 points.

Defensively, Johnston has seen action in the cage all season and has tallied 146 saves which is good for second currently this season in the MAC. Johnston recorded career best 22 save performance at No. 5 Michigan on Oct. 13. Johnston enters Wednesday's 2024 MAC Tournament with a total of 467 career saves.

The Ball State field hockey team will compete in the Mid-American Conference Tournament Wednesday as the No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 Kent State at 11:30 am ET on the Miami RedHawks campus.
