MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State swimming & diving is excited to introduce Anna Pfeiffer as the program's graduate assistant coach.
Â
"We are excited to have Anna Pfeiffer joining the Cardinals family as our graduate assistant coach this year," head coach J. Agnew said. "She brings a depth of competitive experience from her time as a student-athlete for the Iowa Hawkeyes. I love the fact she combines her athletic experience with on deck coaching knowledge as a former assistant coach for the Iowa Flyers and DASH! Her energy and passion for the sport is a great addition to our Cards!"
Â
Pfeiffer, who started working with the Cardinals at the beginning of the 2024 fall semester, brings a wealth of knowledge to the program following a four-year collegiate swimming career at Iowa.
Â
"I am very excited to be working alongside and learning from Coach J., Coach Clay, and our Ball State swimmers," Pfeiffer said. "I am also excited to share my knowledge and passion for the sport! Ball State is full of outstanding athletes, and I am excited to help continue to move the program forward! Go Cards!"
Â
As a member of the Hawkeyes program, Pfeiffer was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a four-time competitor at the B1G Women's Conference Championships. A Big Ten point scorer in relays, she also produced career-fast times in the 50 free, 200 free, 100 back, and 200 back at the B1G Championships.
Â
Before her collegiate career, Pfeiffer swam at Dubuque Senior High School, where she was a two-time Mississippi Valley Conference Athlete of the Year. She was also a four-time all-state and all-conference selection for the Rams while finishing her career as a four-time team MVP.
Â
The valedictorian at Western Dubuque High School, Pfeiffer also earned Academic All-American and IGHSAU All-Academic State.
Â
In addition to her talents in the water, Pfeiffer brings high-level club coaching experience to Ball State, having worked with several Olympic Trial qualifiers and a Jr. Pan Pac qualifier. Her coaching stints on the club side include time with the Dubuque Area Swimmin' Hurricanes (DASH) and the Iowa Flyers Swim Club (IFLY). IFLY is a USA Swimming silver medal program.
