
FH Hosts Final Two Home Games of the Season This Weekend

The Cardinals host Ohio on Friday and will then close out play on Sunday against JMU
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team is set to host its final two home games of the regular season this weekend. The Cardinals will welcome Ohio on Friday for a 3 pm ET start and will then close out play for their annual "Senior Day" on Sunday versus James Madison at 1 pm ET. Both games will be played at the Briner Sports Complex.

The Cardinals are looking to get back on the winning track after falling to UC Davis on Tuesday by a score of 3-1. BSU enters this weekend's Mid-American Conference action with a 3-11 overall record while owning a 2-3 mark in conference play.Â

Ohio comes to Muncie with a 5-9 ledger and are 2-4 in MAC play while JMU sits atop of the MAC standings with a 10-4 mark and an unblemished league record of 5-0.Â

Ball State has won its last two contest over Ohio. The Bobcats own a 25-8 record over the Cardinals since their first meeting in Muncie on Sept. 23, 2005, resulting in a 5-1 loss for BSU. Last season, Ball State defeated Ohio in Athens 2-1 in overtime.Â

JMU and BSU are tied all-time 5-5 with the Dukes last defeating the Cardinals in Muncie by a 2-0 decision on Sept. 22, 2017.Â

After this weekend, the Ball State field hockey team will play its final regular season contest on the road at Bellarmine on Friday, Nov. 1 in Louisville, Kentucky at 6 pm ET
