Men’s Tennis Continues to Find Success at Ball State Fall Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up day two of its annual fall invite Saturday afternoon against players from Butler, IUPUI and Marquette.
The Cardinals reached the championship round in both singles and doubles. Parrish Simmons alongside teammate Mason Tran earned the Flight A Doubles championship after defeating their fellow Cardinals Vince Orlando and Eli Herran, 7-5.
Ball State also dominated in the Flight B Doubles bracket with the twosome of Broc Fletcher and Petar Petrovic who claimed the championship match by a score of 6-3 versus teammates Jacks Lancaster and Drew Hayward.
The Cardinals will also play in the final matches in the Flight A and Flight B singles championship round tomorrow. Tran, Lancaster and Fletcher went 2-0 today in singles action over their respective opponents to reach the title match which will be played Sunday morning at 10 a.m. ET.
All matches are scheduled to be played at the Foster Adams Family Tennis Complex/Bill Richards Tennis Courts unless inclement weather were to occur. In that case, the matches will be moved indoors at the Northwest YMCA. The weather in Muncie, Ind., for the weekend is predicted to be sunny and in the upper 70's, lower 80's.
