Knopert Named NFHCA DI Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention

MANAHAWKIN, NJ - Ball State field hockey forward Fleur Knopert continues to garner awards for her success on the field as the sophomore sensation has been named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention.
Knopert had an outstanding weekend, scoring six goals in two wins for the Cardinals. Knopert recently earned back-to-back Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after an impressive weekend.
She started the weekend off appearing on the box score numerous times against Central Michigan on Sept. 20. She scored three of the Cardinals' four goals. She also registered seven shots, with six finding the cage.
On Sunday, she continued her offensive success tacking on three more goals in a 5-0 victory against Lindenwood. Knopert helped Ball State to its fifth-straight win for the first time since 2006.
For the week, Knopert had 12 shots, 10 shots on goal, six scores while earning 12 points for the Cardinals. Knopert now has 11 goals on the season and 20 for her career.
Knopert becomes the first Cardinal to reach national weekly honors in almost a decade for Ball State.
