Knopert Earns Back-to-Back MAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore forward Fleur Knopert has earned back-to-back Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors. The announcement was made by the leaague office today.
Knopert continues to be an offensive staple for the Cardinals as she led Ball State in scoring last week with six goals in two wins.
She started the weekend off appearing on the box score numerous times against Central Michigan on Sept. 20. The sophomore sensation, and reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Week, scored three of the Cardinals' four goals. She also registered seven shots, with six finding the cage.
On Sunday, she continued her offensive success tacking on three more goals in a 5-0 victory against Lindenwood. Knopert helped Ball State to its fifth-straight win for the first time since 2006.
For the week, Knopert had 12 shots, 10 shots on goal, six scores while earning 12 points for the Cardinals. Knopert now has 11 goals on the season and 20 for her career.
The Ball State field hockey team is set to host Kent State in a MAC showdown Saturday at the Briner Sports Complex. The game is slated for a noon start.
