
Fields Hockey Looks to Keep Win Streak Alive; Hosts CMU & Lindenwood This Weekend

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State field hockey team looks to keep its three-game win streak alive when it hosts Central Michigan, Friday at 2 pm ET and Lindenwood, Sunday at noon. Both games will be played at the Briner Sports Complex.Â

The Cardinals enter this weekend's contest with a 3-4 overall record and a 1-0 league ledger while the Chippewas own a 1-5 overall mark. CMU is looking for its first Mid-American Conference win of the season after falling to Kent State by a score of 8-0 last Friday. The last time these two teams met was at CMU on Sept. 30, 2022, when Ball State defeated Central Michigan 4-3 in double overtime. Current Cardinals, Fleur Knopert and Emma Hilton, both scored goals against the Chippewas that contest. Ball State has won four of its last five meeting against Central Michigan.Â

Lindenwood comes to Muncie for the first time since the 2012 season. The Cardinals have won both of their meetings against the Lions with their last meeting resulting in a 3-2 victory for Ball State on Sept. 21, 2013, in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood moved to DI in 2022.
