Women’s Tennis Heads to Belmont/Lipscomb Fall Invite

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team returns to the court for some fall action this weekend when the Cardinals travel to compete at the Belmont/Lipscomb Fall Invite (Sept. 15-17).
The three-day event will be a hidden dual format which will take place at Belmont (Beaman Family Tennis Complex) and at Lipscomb (Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center). The Cardinals play against Arkansas State, Belmont, and Lipscomb.
Ball State enters a new era under first-year head coach Sachin Kirtane. The Cardinals return four players (Ella Hazelbaker, Elena Malykh, Jacqueline Pearsall, and Annika Planinsek) from last year's 2023 Mid-American Conference Tournament squad while also welcoming three newcomers (Sydney Hrehor, Sarah Shahbaz and Isabel Tanjuatco).
The action begins at 3 pm ET on Friday for the Cardinals and at approximately 10 a.m. ET on Saturday. Ball State will play six singles and three doubles against each opponent. Ball State will close out play on Sunday with a doubles match versus Belmont at 9 a.m. ET.
