Mickey Pearson Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has announced the recipients of the 2022-23 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball teams and student-athletes. Mickey Pearson Jr. earned is spot on the NABC Honors Court for the second-straight season as he represents the Ball State men's basketball team.

Pearson finished the 2022-23 season second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game. He added 7.7 points per game in his 31 appearances. He added 17 assists, 16 steals, and 12 blocks. He recorded a career-high 20 points against Eastern Illinois He posted a GPA of 3.63 in the pursuit of a degree in sociology.

The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
