Women’s Tennis Dominates Play Against Bowling Green

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Cardinals continue to dominate play in Mid-American Conference action after earning a 6-1 take down victory over Bowling Green Friday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
Ball State (17-3, 6-1 MAC) started the match off hot by taking the doubles point from Bowling Green (6-13, 0-7).
The No. 1 doubles tandem of Amy Kaplan and Annika Planinsek made an early 6-0 exit after defeating BGSU's Joanna Tsaadari and Eloise Saraty.
Shortly after, Allison Mulliville alongside Mariya Polishchuk claimed the first point of the match with their 6-2 win versus the Falcons' No. 2 duo of Lucy Furness and Hannah Newman.
The Cardinals carried their momentum into singles play taking five of the six courts from the Falcons.
Polishchuk, Jessica Braun, Planinsek, Elena Malykh and Mullville all won on their respective courts in straight sets. Mulliville beat Maru Poppe at slot No. 6 to earn match point Ball State.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues Mid-American Conference action when it plays at Northern Illinois Sunday. First serve will be at 2 pm ET.
