Game Time Set for Indy Classic

Ball State to Play Indiana State at 1:45 PM in Gainbridge Fieldhouse

The Ball State's men's basketball team's game against Indiana State at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Dec. 16 will be played at 1:45 p.m., the Indiana Sports Corp. announced Friday.
This will be the second year of the Indy Classic, as the Cardinals beat Illinois State 83-69 last December in the inaugural event. Purdue and Arizona follow at 4:30 p.m. to wrap up the holiday season doubleheader. Both contests will be streamed on Peacock.
Ball State's Saturday showdown with the Sycamores will be the 138th all-time matchup between the two in-state rivals, with Indiana State leading the series 76-61. The Sycamores won 83-71 last Nov. 12 in Terre Haute while the Cardinals triumphed 97-75 in the most recent battle at Worthen Arena (Nov. 27, 2021).
The Cardinals have played in Indianapolis 93 times in program history including 52 games at Butler, 20 at UIndy, six at IUPUI, one at the Indiana Dental College (1921) and 14 neutral site games.
