September 22, 2022 | Women's Tennis
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team is set to open fall play by hosting its fourth annual Bethany Moore Invitational at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center this weekend (Sept. 23-24).
The Bethany Moore Invite is named in honor of 2016 graduate Bethany Moore who helped Ball State to that year's Mid-American Conference championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament berth. Moore tragically lost her life after a 2017 car accident in Hamilton County. The Cardinals dedicated a bench in her honor in the spring of 2019 at Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
The two-day event features over 40 players from five different NCAA programs. Joining the Cardinals are, Dayton, Butler, Oakland, and Wisconsin Milwaukee.
The matches will begin each day at 10 am ET with Friday's event starting with two doubles followed by a round of singles.
The invitational will end on Saturday, with one round of doubles followed by two rolling singles rounds.
