MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State soccer team returns to action after a week off for the start of Mid-American Conference play. The Cardinals open on the road with the Miami RedHawks on Thursday, Sept. 22, followed by the home opener on Sunday, Sept. 25, against the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
Last Time Out
Ball State came back from a 2-0 deficit to force a draw on the road at Butler. Avery Fenchel scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season. Sammi Corcoran scored the equalizer, which turned out to be the final goal of the match in her season debut. Bethany Moser finished the contest with four saves.
Season Leaders
The Cardinals are led by Fenchel with four goals on the year. Corcoran, Delaney Caldwell, and Lexi Fraley are tied for second on the team with one goal each. Emily Roper has the team's lone assist. Moser has been the final line of defense for BSU and has made 26 saves on the year.
