Bellar leads Cardinals after first day of Streamsong Invitational

Sophomore sits at 7-under midway through the second round
BOWLING GREEN, Fla. – Ball State men's golfer Kash Bellar sits at 7-under to midway through the second round of the Streamsong Invitational to lead the Cardinals. Play was halted in the second round due to lightning.
Bellar fired a 4-under 68 to open the day and then racked up four additional birdies after 14 holes in his second circuit of the par-72 Streamsong Blue Course. In total, the Peru, Ind. native had 11 birdies and an eagle Monday.
Carter Smith and Joey Wiseman are tied for 62nd at 4-over. The duo combined for 10 birdies on the day.
Griffin Hare and Ali Khan are one shot back at 5-over in a tie for 68th, while Joey Ranieri sits in a tie for 72nd at 6-over.
As a team, the Cardinals are 12th at 5-over heading into the final day of the tournament Tuesday. Play is set to resume at 7 a.m. ET.
