Ball State returns to action after successful home tournament to start the season

MUNCIE, Ind. – Fresh off of hosting its home tournament to open the season, the Ball State men's golf team makes the quick turnaround and is set to take part in the Streamsong Invitational, Sept. 12-13. The event, hosted by Lipscomb, is slated to place at the par-72, 7,276-yard Streamsong Blue Course in Bowling Green, Fla.

The Cardinals will field a lineup consisting of Joey Wiseman, Kash Bellar, Griffin Hare, Joey Ranieri and Ali Khan in order, while Carter Smith will compete as an individual.

Ball State is part of a 14-team field that includes Chattanooga, Florida Atlantic, FGCU, Jacksonville, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Alabama, Stetson, Texas State, USC Upstate, Virginia and Winthrop. Lipscomb will also field a 'B' team.

The Cardinals are paired with Texas State and USC Upstate for the opening two rounds Monday, beginning off the No. 8-11 holes at 8:30 a.m. ET in a shotgun start.

Ball State is coming off a second-place finish at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational last weekend. Wiseman earned co-medalist honors and was named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week.
