Ball State completes second round of MAC Championship

Cardinals battle high scores across the tournament Saturday
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Ball State battled tough conditions, including a weather delay, in the second round of the Mid-American Conference Championship Saturday. The Cardinals fell to seventh on the team leaderboard at 40-over (301-315--616) after 36 holes.
With scores high across the board, only three golfers in the entire field posted an even-par round at the par-72 White Eagle Country Club.
Toledo leads the field at 19-over (595), followed by Kent State (596) and Eastern Michigan (598).
After entering the day inside the top 10, both Ali Khan (+5) and Joey Ranieri (+7) held serve and sit in a tie for seventh and 10th, respectively. Khan (72-77--149) birdied the 400-plus-yard No. 1 and No. 2 holes, while Ranieri (73-78--151) secured birdies on the par-4 No. 9 and No. 15 holes.
Kash Bellar, Colin Nasser and Joey Wiseman are bunched together to complete the Ball State contingent.
Bellar is 34th at 15-over (78-81--159), while Nasser (78-83--161) Wiseman are tied for 35th at 17-over (82-79--161).
The Cardinals are paired with Ohio for the final round Sunday morning, beginning at 9:50 a.m. ET off the No. 10 tee.
