Ball State prepares for MAC Championship

Cardinals ready for conference tournament, April 29-May 1
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's golf team is set to tee it up at the Mid-American Conference Championship, April 29-May 1. The three-day event features one round of golf per day at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville, Ill.
Following a practice round at the par-72 course Thursday, the annual event begins Friday with tee times beginning at noon ET off the No. 1 and No. 10 tee boxes.
The Cardinals will field a lineup that consists of Kash Bellar, Griffin Hare, Ali Khan, Colin Nasser, Joey Ranieri and Joey Wiseman for the weekend.
Ranieri and Wiseman boast previous MAC Championship experience as the duo each logged top-10 finishes a year ago. Ranieri finished sixth, while Wiseman tied for 10th overall.
Ball State has logged top-three team finishes three times since 2017, including a third-place finish a season ago. The Cardinals have won the MAC Championship three times in program history: 1975, 1982 and 1986.
Ball State comes in as the fifth-ranked team in the league, according to Golfstat rankings, at No. 162. Kent State is tops at No. 62, followed by Toledo (100), Northern Illinois (140), Eastern Michigan (153), Miami (166), Bowling Green (219) and Ohio (239).
Saturday's round is also set to begin at noon ET, while the final round Sunday tees off at 9 a.m. ET. All three rounds will streamed live on NIUHuskies.com.
