Men’s Tennis Wins on The Road at Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Ball State men's tennis team opened its last weekend of Mid-American Conference regular season action on a high note with a 5-2 defeat against Binghamton Friday afternoon at the Lane Tennis Center.
The Cardinals took the early 1-0 edge over the Bearcats after claiming doubles victories on courts two and three. Vince Orlando alongside his doubles partner Parrish Simmons cruised past Binghamton's Josh Roe Flannelly and Dan Pergel at position three, 6-2. The No. 2 duo of Thibault de Negri and Eli Herran then defeated Courage Crawford and Anshumat Srivastava by a 6-3 decision.
In singles play, Ball State took four of the six courts from Binghamton winning at positions, two, three, four and six. Both Danilo Kovacevic and Petar Petrovic took down their opponents in straight sets at the No. 2 and No. 6 positions, respectively.
Orlando again found himself atop of his opponent taking home another three-set thriller on court four after beating Crawford, 3-6, 6-0, 6-2.
Chris Adams was the last court on and was in a tight three set match as well but prevailed by taking the win over Pergel, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.
The Ball State men's tennis team will wrap up its MAC regular season play at Buffalo on Sunday, April 17 at 2 pm ET.
