2020-21 (Sophomore): Earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors and Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic award … led the team in dual action with an overall mark of 17-2 … registered a 12-2 mark on court five and an unblemished record at position No. 6 (5-0) … season was highlighted by a straight set victory at Notre Dame over Jean-Marc Malkowski winning by a score of 6-4, 6-1 to help the Cardinals beat the Irish, 4-3 (1/20/21) … started the spring off with nine straight singles victories … closed out spring action with back-to-back wins over Binghamton and Buffalo.

2019-20 (Freshman): Competed in 20 matches …. made first collegiate appearance against Butler’s Tom Brennan in fall action (9/13/19) …. earned first spring singles victory on court six with a straight set victory against Xavier’s Michael Lee (1/18/20) …. played primarily at the No. 5 and 6 singles positions …. registered back-to-back wins over Wright State (2/1/20) and Eastern Illinois (2/2/20) … closed out singles action with a 2-1 mark including a victory No. 35 Pepperdine’s Pawel Jankowiak (3/6/20) …. competed at the No. 3 doubles slot with teammate Bryce Bonin … the twosome opened up spring action with wins over Big Ten foe Michigan State (1/25/20), Niagara (1/25/20) and Wright State (2/1/20) … Bonin and Herran closed out spring play with a 6-0 victory at UC San Diego (3/8/20) … the duo finished the season prior to the COVID-19 pandemic with an overall record of 5-2.
