Men’s Tennis Loses Road Battle At Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Ball State men's tennis team (6-7, 1-2 MAC) suffered a 7-0 setback against Toledo (9-6, 2-1 MAC) Saturday afternoon at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
The Cardinals dropped hard-fought doubles point to the Rockets at the start of today's match. The Rockets took a 6-4 victory on court No. 1. Ball State answered as its No. 2 duo of Thibault de Negri and Eli Herran evened the score by taking down Toledo's Cole Shoults and Krzysztof Wetoszka also by a 6-4 decision.
The deciding point came down to court three where the Rockets Luka Jankovic and Adam Kovacevic won the match over Vince Orland and Parrish Simmons, 7-6 (7-4).
The Rockets were unstoppable in singles play taking all six courts from the Cardinals.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues Mid-American Conference action at home against Binghamton on Friday, March 25 at 2 pm ET. The Cardinals will play outdoors at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center, weather permitting.
