
Ball State prepares for first outdoor meet of 2022 season

Cardinals take flight at Miami for the Blizzard Buster
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State track and field team is set to open the outdoor season with the Blizzard Buster, hosted in Oxford, Ohio by Miami, March 18.
Field events begin at 9 a.m. ET on a rolling schedule, while the running events are slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
The Cardinals wrapped up their indoor season with a sixth-place finish at the Mid-American Conference Championships, their second-highest finish in the annual event since 2010.
Ball State had five All-MAC selections in Payton Barlow, Charity Griffith, MaQuila Norman, Alexis Thigpen and Karlie Zumbro. The five all-conference honorees are the second-most by the Cardinals since the league begin tracking data in 2006.
Following the Blizzard Buster, Ball State will split its squad for the Miami Relays and Texas Relays next weekend.
